Objectives

The objective of this training is to enable participants to acquire skills necessary in contracts negotiation and management for enhanced performance. The following are the training areas: -

  • Evaluating the financial stability and ability of the potential supplier to meet contractual commitment using balance sheet and income statement
  • Contract formation – identify requirements, applicable laws and regulations, contract wording, risks management, sourcing methods and other factors influencing the contract drafting process.
  • Contract performance - phases of managing contracts and their implications, tools for contracts management
  • Ethical issues in contracting - Develop the skills necessary to understand your role to increase an organization’s ethical sensitivity
